I was watching the ST:DS9 episode "Invasive Procedures" and I finally understood why Jor-El choose Lionel as his host/avatar or whatever. Jor-El assumed that, as a Trill, Lionel would be better equipped to handle the joining. Clearly Jor-El didn't see the end of the episode...

Just finished re-watching Star Trek: Into Darkness (the first time after having seen Star Trek: TOS and the first 6 Star Trek movies). Generally speaking I enjoyed it, but then I generally enjoy anything with Spock and/or Benedict Cumberbatch in it.
